UPDATE: A Davenport man has been sentenced to serve up to 15 years in prison after police say in 2023 he had methamphetamine in his car when he struck an Iowa State Trooper’s squad and injured the trooper, court records show. Jordyn M. Puckett on Nov. 30 was sentenced to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for a period of up to 10 years and, for a charge of assault on persons in certain occupations while displaying a weapon, was sentenced to up to five years, court records say.
If you want to live the high life, this omakase restaurant is offering sushi infused with cannabis. Sushi by Bou is a speakeasy restaurant with locations across New York - but boasts one major point of difference to its competitors. Instead of a traditional fish delicacy to munch away on, its sushi dishes include hemp infusions - and cannabis mocktails are also on the menu. According to content creator Morgan Raum, who recently visited the chain's Flatiron restaurant, servers infuse the sushi with hemp-derived cannabis using a needle - right in front of you.
FRANKLIN, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Duane Eddy, an early rock pioneer whose distinctive guitar twang helped to define the sounds of rockabilly and surf rock, has died. He was 86. His wife, Deed Eddy, told the New York Times that he passed in a hospital in Franklin, Tennessee on Tuesday from complications of cancer. With a career that spanned seven decades, Eddy was known for iconic instrumental guitar hits such as “Rebel Rouser,” “Because They’re Young” and “Forty Miles of Bad Road” helping to cement the role of guitar as a key component of rock & roll.
