With the excitement of the holiday season now nothing more than a distant memory, the month of January can often feel as though it drags out - particularly, it would seem, where 2018 is involved.  This year, the month of January spans across five Mondays, causing many people to feel as though it has been particularly long - and full of less than happy days, with dozens taking to Twitter to vent their woe over the seemingly neverending month.

SAS trooper Jamie Hull, now 45, from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, was in the 'prime of his life' when the life-changing accident, which saw him spend six months in a medically-induced coma and a further 18 months in hospital recovering, happened in August 2007.

A new holiday tradition put on by the United Way of the Pine Belt, with assistance from Dixie Electric, Mississippi Power and other area businesses, will light up downtown Laurel, starting Monday. The path is located in The Backlot in Laurel and will feature decorations and several Christmas trees. Prancer Path — a lighted path for Laurel visitors and families to enjoy throughout the holiday season — will offer events and activities for all to enjoy.

Prince Harry is turning 39 on September 15 and the Duke Of Sussex is spending his birthday week in Germany for Invictus Games 2023.
