Lupita Nyong'o Accessorizes a Classic Chanel Suit With a Cat-Shaped Purse
Let’s hope Lupita Nyong’o’s latest accessory kept quiet when she brought it to the screening of her latest film, A Quiet Place: Day One. To attend the Paris photo call for the horror flick—a prequel to 2018’s box-office-smashing A Quiet Place and its 2021 sequel—Nyong’o paired her white Chanel suit jacket with a very unexpected accessory: a cat-shaped purse.
Yep, the Oscar-winning actor was seen carrying a sparkly silver cat, which dangled by her side on a chain. The diamond-encrusted feline was dressed well for the Paris premiere, outfitted in a pink-and-white striped sweater with a matching magenta scarf, a pink beret, and heart-shaped sunglasses.

This colorful accessory was the loudest part of Nyong’o’s otherwise muted fit, of which the central article was a pearly white, double-breasted tweed blazer from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2023 couture collection.
The piece featured large diamond buttons and material with raised zigzags that cut vertically across it. In addition to the high collar, the formalwear also had a slit going up the center, which offered a peek at the feather-covered dress Nyong’o wore underneath.

To pair with the outfit, Nyong’o chose two-tone black and white pumps, which added yet another bit of sparkle, as they were covered with subtle gemstones.
