Liverpool fans gobsmacked as Everton supporters 'copy' their derby hero's chant
Liverpool supporters have been left shocked after hearing Everton's new chant for Conor Coady which has used the same tune to one of the most iconic songs in recent memory.
The Anfield faithful serenaded Divock Origi following his Champions League heroics of 2018/19 - in a period in which he scored six goals across 12 games against the Toffees.
Everton's chant is in fact a tribute of their own to former Liverpool youth prospect Conor Coady, who joined them on loan from Wolves in the summer and scored in their win over Southampton. But the irony of choosing a song closely associated with the player who routinely put them to the sword seems to have been lost on those involved.

To the tune of Saturday Night by Whigfield, Everton fans have been spotted singing the lyrics: "Saturday night and I like the way you move. Conor Coady. Played for the sh**e but now he f***in loves the Blues. Conor Coady!"
With Liverpool's chant for former striker Origi going: "Saturday night and I like the way you move, Divock Origi! It's Sunday night and he scored against the s***e Divock Origi." The Sunday night in question being December 2, 2018, when he scored a bizarre 96th minute winner over Everton at Anfield with a helping hand from Toffees keeper Jordan Pickford.

In response, a Liverpool fan wrote: "Ripping off the Divock Origi song. If ye can't beat them join them I suppose."
With a second adding: "Copying Origi song. Closest you'll get to a Champions league winner I suppose. Imitation as they say..........."
With a third asking: "To Divock Origi's song?"

Liverpool fans were recently amused after hearing that Coady's disallowed goal against them had initially been one of the 'best feelings of his career'.
With the defender saying: "So, to have that feeling at the time [when the ball hit the back of the net], bearing in mind it got taken away, it was one of the best feelings I ever had in football, I'll be honest. I am giving my all for that club every single day."
One fan replied: "True Everton mentality."
