Leave it to Kendall Jenner (one of our 2023 Bazaar Icons) to make a classic black slipdress look totally new.
The supermodel made an appearance at the grand opening of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Wednesday, where she wore a little black dress that delivered a lesson in the power of simplicity.

Jenner’s silky LBD was a halter-top dress with a corset-style bodice that hugged her waist and a long skirt with slight scallops at the hem. She paired the gown with strappy black heels and a black baguette bag.

The Kardashians star was one of the many A-list attendees at the December 13 event, where the guest list included Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Keith Urban, Cher, Eva Longoria, Jenner’s big sister Kim Kardashian, and other celebrities. Skims founder Kim went for an all-black look herself, in a knit bodycon dress that she paired with black shoes.
Of course, this is just the latest in a string of stunning looks Jenner has worn lately. The 28-year-old has been on a fabulous cape style streak, and just last week she pulled out a striking red Fendi dress for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures gala—which, like her black slipdress, featured a hugging midsection.

The design featured a pebbled black leather bodice that stood in contrast against the top and bottom parts of the dress. Simply iconic.
